Furry Land Jacksonville is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Lead Groomer to join our team. We provide a unique mobile spa experience for dogs and cats, ensuring a stress-free and convenient grooming process for both pets and their owners.
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional grooming services while leading a team that works for the love of furry friends? Furry Land Jacksonville is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Lead Groomer to join our team. We provide a unique mobile spa experience for dogs and cats, ensuring a stress-free and convenient grooming process for both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities:
- Onboard and train new groomers, ensuring completion of all required training and certifications while maintaining the brand’s standards.
- Drive a fully equipped 2023 Mercedes Sprinter grooming van to scheduled appointments in the Jacksonville area, designed for year-round comfort and efficiency.
- Oversee and provide professional grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and client preferences.
- Develop and execute local business growth and advertising strategies with the Furry Land team.
- Ensure proper maintenance, servicing, and registration of grooming vans and oversee necessary repairs.
- Manage scheduling and ensure timely appointment arrivals to maximize productivity. Step in to cover shifts as needed to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a professional pet groomer with expertise in grooming techniques, breed-specific cuts, and coat care.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, with the ability to safely operate a grooming van.
- Passion for working with animals and the ability to handle pets of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and provide exceptional service.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to deliver consistently high-quality grooming services.
- Certification from a reputable grooming school is highly desirable.
- A minimum of one year of experience in grooming all breeds is required.
- Preferred qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in guest service or supervisory roles.
- Experience supervising or training teams, motivating partners, and achieving sales goals.
- Previous retail or leadership experience in a similar environment.
- Physical ability to handle and lift pets of all sizes.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours.

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
